Sautéed Green Beans
Prep - 5 min, Cook - 25 min, Total - 30 min
Ingredients
- 3lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Flaky sea salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
- Add green beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until just tender-crisp and bright green (3lbs green beans)
- Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop cooking
- Drain well and pat completely dry
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat - use enough oil so the green beans are covered (1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup butter)
- Add garlic and cook 30 sec until fragrant (4 cloves garlic)
- Add green beans and sauté for 4-5 min, tossing frequently, until heated through and slightly blistered in spots
- Transfer to serving platter and immediately finish with a generous sprinkle of sea salt and black pepper
